I fondly remember Gerry as the kind lady that taught me to read as a Lector at St Francis Xavier Church probably 30 years ago. Being so young I thought it was an inconvenience to have to take classes. Thinking I can read, what can she teach me. Well over the years i often recall how gentle and kind she was in her teaching. I often relay this teaching to others. Read slowly, so that by the time your voice is carried to the back of the church it gives people time to listen and process the Word Of God. I quit reading for a time at Mass and now I am back at it. I love it. Thank you Gerry for sharing your gifts with me. Karen Whalen

Nora and Frank: I am so sorry for your loss.
I met "Gerry" through our volunteering in Palliative Care. She was such a wonderful lady. She was kind, compassionate, humourous and a good friend. How she loved her husband Frank and her daughter Nora and grandson Frank! She always spoke so highly of all of you. I think your Mom is now reunited with her soulmate in heaven.
Rest in peace Gerry.
Sincerely,
Laureen Elliott
