Hi Mary and family,

Chris and I were very sorry to hear about your sad loss. Please accept our deepest sympathy. We know Jack will be missed very much by you all.

We remember Jack as a colleague at TISS, a tireless supporter and worker with Fun With Books for many years, and a friend.

As a department head and teacher at TISS he worked hard to maintain a positive place for all of us to work and succeeded in helping many students as they worked their way through their time at school.

At every Fun With Books meeting and book packing session Jack always contributed some good stories and a joke or two or three to help make all these occasions fun times for everyone. As well he told us stories about how much he enjoyed delivering the book packages on his route. His optimism for our organization was always appreciated by everyone.

As a friend he brought joy to the many social events we shared over the years – the
year end parties at Arnold’s and at our place were always lots of fun thanks to Jack’s
humorous contributions. He enjoyed the many TISS retiree breakfasts and monthly
lunches – especially the ones held at The Brigadoon.

We trust that your many happy memories of Jack will help your during this sad time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of loss.

All the best.
Bernie and Chris

Thank you, Bernie [Boesveld], for your moving tribute. Indeed, Jack and his cheerfulness and kindness together formed a major positive in all our lives. May he rest in peace, and when his beloved wife joins him may they share their joy as a couple. Thank you again for tying us all together in this sad but cathartic notification.

Best to everyone, and God bless,
R
