Condolence: Our thoughts are with the family in these difficult times.

We have known Julius since 2011. When Julius shared a family recipe for patichki or patychky with me, I knew we had made it into his circle of friends.

Julius was a quiet and reserved man but once we got to know him, we discovered his great sense of humour.

Julio, dear friend, you will be sorely missed.

Condolence: Our deepest sympathy to Barbra and Theresa. My memory of Julius goes back to mid 60’s when I first met my uncle Julius, although he was a year younger. My grandmother and his father were brother and sister. He didn’t like to be called uncle at thirteen, who would? We had some fun back then going hiking together with Eddy Nowak and roasting hot dogs over open fire under the Hamilton escarpment. I came from Poland and didn’t speak English back then but Julius and Eddy knew some Polish so we communicated quite well and they tried to teach me some English but it was mostly the words I didn’t need to know, what I realized some time later. Julius loved playing lacrosse, the sport I did not know since I grew up playing soccer. He tried teaching me but I had trouble catching the hard little ball in this little net on a long stick and throwing it back to him. I was much better at kicking a much larger soccer ball. Later on Julius was an usher at my wedding to Ursula in 1973. After that time we all started our working lives and we were moved in different directions, cities and sadly we were no longer in touch. My memories of Julius are from his teens and frankly I like to remember him that way. John and Ursula Janiga.

Condolence: I was saddened to hear of Julius' passing, although I was aware that he was unwell as of late. I have known him
since 2007, having first met him and other mutual acquaintances at the 'Brock' in Brockville. Although he was a
very private person, we remained friends over the years. He was until recently an ardent golfer and so enjoyed trips
that he yearly made to Canton, N.Y. for tournaments with associates as well as participating in their other local tournaments.
He enjoyed keeping up with PGA events on TV. Although because of an arthritic condition and aging years, my golfing
activity has been limited in recent years, nevertheless I had the pleasure of golfing with him at the local country club along
with 2 other friends in 2011. Also on several occasions that same year and again in 2012, I also participated with him in
winter golf at the local Sunnidell club, hitting the ball into a screen. He was very accommodating by aiding me, as
necessary, in that venture. His presence will be greatly missed by myself and his numerous friends. May he rest in peace.
