Passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Wyntje Myderwyk Stapper of Brockville, age 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Fred Stapper. Loving mother of Leda Edwards (Mike deceased), Peter Stapper (Jody deceased), Mary Jane Baker (Sheldon), Margaret Stapper (Scott Mackenzie deceased), Carolin Stapper (Randy Earl) and Jackie McGuire. Loving grandmother of Brendon Edwards (Renata), Dustin Wilson (Erin), Caleb Wilson (Megan), Drew McGuire (Hannah), Mitch McGuire, Kylee Gray and also her great-grandchildren Claire, Evan, Cameron, Paisley, and Caison. She will be missed by her siblings Corrie Velthove (Pieter deceased), Lisa Trapman (Teo deceased) and Henry Myderwyk (Jeannette). Sisters-in-law Riet Zwaan (Wim deceased), Jane Osborne (Claude deceased), Peter Stapper (Teresa deceased), Casey Stapper (Inge), John Stapper (Coba), Willie Smithwick and Bonnie Cody (Peter).

Predeceased by her parents Peter and Alice Myderwyk as well as her sisters Tini Bosch (Aart deceased) and Wilma Schuit (Henry), her brother-in-law- Klaas Stapper, and also her sisters-in-law Margriet Dunlap, Alice Lupton, Nell Heyman Vanderwerf and Huiby Allan.

Winnie thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her own children and then her grandchildren on the St Lawrence river Sailing Swimming and Fishing. In Winter, it was Cross Country and Downhill Skiing! Traveling was also a big part of being with her Family. Winnie was also a dedicated Volunteer Driver for CPHC for 25 plus years and retired from that in 2019. She Loved doing Cross Stitch (a lost Art) and has many Professionally framed pieces given to her Family and Friends as Cherished Gifts to Hold Dear for many years to come!

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Irvine Memorial Chapel, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 1-2 pm. A Celebration of Winnie’s life will be held in the chapel at 2 pm with interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Bethel Christian Reform Church will be greatly appreciated by the family.
