Obituary for Bill Purvis

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our “Captain Billy”. William (Bill) Ross Purvis passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the age of 73 years.
Husband and best friend of Denise (Bevan) for 50 years. Proud father of Jason (Jo-Anne (nee Stayner) Purvis, Matthew (Lisa nee Tackaberry) Purvis, Kayla Miller (Blair), Rachel Stevens (Mike), and Zac Purvis (Shirren nee Albert). Cherished Grandad to his favourite people in the world: Austin and Warren Miller, Andrew Purvis, Talia and Will Purvis, Lillian, Rose, and Violet Stevens, Brodie Beckstead, and Destiny Vout. Fondly remembered by his younger brother and sister-in-law Neil and Ellen Purvis, sister-in-law Lynn Purvis, and many cousins, nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Marie Purvis, older brother Donald, and nephew Mark Purvis.
A beautiful soul, his kindness, sense of humour, and enveloping love will be sorely missed; Bill will live in our hearts forever.
Bill’s close knit immediate family privately celebrated his life and love. Arrangements were entrusted to the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James St., E., Brockville.
