Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Willem (Bill) Rutgers, at the age of 92 years. Beloved husband of Gail (predeceased) and dear father of Shirley Schmidt (Rick), Fenna Zylstra (Bill) and Rita Deines (Brian). Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 3 brothers in the Netherlands, Harko, Tjako and Dirk. Predeceased by his son Harry (Linda survives) and by his sister Ann Ballyns.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at IRVINE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 4-6 pm. On Saturday, October 15 at 9:30 am, there will be interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland. A ceremony celebrating Bill's life will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11 am at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 117 Windsor Drive, Brockville.
