Obituary for Wilhelmina Swarts (DeGroot)
Passed away peacefully at the St. Lawrence Lodge on Saturday, May 29, 2021. Wilhelmina (DeGroot) Swarts, at the age of 92 years. Dear mother of Henry Hannewyk and grandmother to Justin, Marisa, McKenzie Hannewyk and Katrina McDonald. Also survived by her three great grandchildren and by her sisters Nellie VanDyk (Gary) and Johanna Henry. Wilma was predeceased by her husband Addo and by her siblings Gerrit DeGroot, Margaret Heatherington and Hendrika Hoogendam.
Friends will be received at Irvine Memorial Chapel, 2451 County Rd. 15, Maitland on Thursday June 3rd from 11am to 12 o'clock followed by a funeral service in the Chapel. Covid protocols will be in effect with registration required for visitation. Please call the funeral home to reserve a visitation time or RSVP online. Due to COVID limitations, the funeral service (after visitation) will be attended by family only. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
