It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dad and grandfather Walter Watkins at the Brockville General Hospital on Friday, March 11, 2022 at the age of 80. Much loved father of Michael Watkins (Ruth), his daughter Charlene Watkins and his youngest son Larry Watkins. He was a proud grandfather to Mallory, Cody, Christine, Jaylene, Lukas, Ryan and devoted great grandfather to many great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Winona and Robert Watkins and his only brother Robert Watkins (Linda survives). He will be missed by his niece and nephews, his long-time friends Dennis McCarthy, Ed Malanka (Margo Watkins) and Evelyn Walsh.

Walter was a long-time employee of the former Phillips Cables Plant in Brockville where he worked for many years. Spending time with his family was one of his great pastimes. Whether it be sitting outside drinking beer or attending special functions Walter always enjoyed his time. Walter took great pride in the many cars he owned over the years, shining the tires, and polishing the cars until they shined like new.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James St., E., Brockville. A graveside service will take place in the spring. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Walter's life to be held this Saturday 19, 2022 at his son’s home, 2980 Kelly Side Road, Brockville from 1-5 pm.
