Obituary for Travis Brunner

~~~~~~~~~~~
On December 9, 2022. Travis Brunner left this life with dignity and grace in the loving arms of his wife, Fayme and children, Isabelle and Jude. Just as he lived his life in his own way, he died his death in his own way too; never to be told what to do, especially by his wife and mother, and certainly not by Kidney Disease. Only his kids could twist his arm (and sometimes pull his finger). Travis wants to be remembered as their dad, willing to do anything to make his kids’ lives as fun and joyful as possible. Isabelle and Jude were his life’s loves. Travis was admired for his unique humour, antics, taste in movies & love for politics; leaving an extraordinary void in all of our hearts.
Marching on with fond and colourful memories are his siblings, Joel (Teagan) Brunner and Luke (Sandy) Brunner. He apologizes for not being able to say a proper goodbye to his parent in-laws Renee (Jon) Leclerc and Bill (Jane) Taylor; his brother in-laws, Adam (Anny) Taylor and Clayton (Veronica) Taylor; his nieces and nephews, Noah & Fynn Brunner, Maxime, Sammy & Renee Taylor, and his many uncles, aunts, cousins, second cousins and extended family of friends.
Please do not send flowers. Rather Travis would be most happy for you to go to a pub with a friend, drink a Guinness, listen to some good music, shoot the sh$t about Star Wars & Wes Anderson movies and laugh about the fun things you did together. However, to help Travis give Kidney Disease the middle finger, you can make donations to The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
Travis did not want people to be sad on his behalf at a funeral so there will be no service at this time. A Celebration of Life will be organized in Summer 2023, when we can happily look back and share stories of our times with him together.
Sorry Karen and Larry Brunner (Mom & Dad), we did our best to keep him here as long as possible. He is on your watch now. Good luck, he is a handful!
His family would like to thank Brockville Pallative Care Team, Dr. Bhatt, Dr. Hoyeck and Brockville Bayshore Dialysis Clinic Nurses for supporting the family and making Travis’ last couple of months comfortable.
Leave a message of condolence or share a special thought of Travis on the memory wall above.
