Obituary for Henry Thomas Bowen (Bowen)

The family of H. Tom Bowen sadly announce his passing on April 11, 2021; he was 72 years old. Tom leaves his wife of 54 years Joyce Walker. He was predeceased by his parents Pansy and Harry Bowen and by his in-laws Bill and Vida Walker. He will be sadly missed by his sons Mark (Gail Scott) and Mathew; and by his granddaughters Victoria, Elizabeth and Olivia. Tom was blessed by his siblings Fred (Sue), Bonnie Ridi (John), Rick (Kathy), Randy, Danny "Bubba" and Christopher (Joanne). He also leaves his aunts and uncles Frances Merriman (Dave) and Joan Boisvert (Andy). Tom was so very proud of his nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his infant niece, Melissa Bowen and by his cousin Kevin Merriman.
Tom joined the Army at 17 years of age for three years. He then became a paramedic until failing health caused him to retire from the work that he truly loved. Tom was also associated with Youth For Christ for a number of years.
Special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Brockville General Hospital who were all so good to Tom. Your kindness will never be forgotten. To all those who prayed for us, we will be forever grateful. "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord."
