Obituary for Thomas Hayes

Thomas Carman Hayes went peacefully to the Lord at the Brockville General Hospital on May 10, 2022.
Survived by, his sister Laura (Brian) Root, niece Elisha (Stephen) Castle and two great nephews Luke & Tim Castle. He also leaves behind, Anthony (Amanda) Haggart as well as many cousins, Aunts and Uncle. He was predeceased by his parents Shirley (Johnston) and William Hayes. He will be sadly missed by his entire family.
He spent over 22 years volunteering with Community and Blooms, Loaves and Fishes and Common Ground (The Pier Church). He found friendship, comradeship and a larger family while working to serve others. He was said to have had a little mischief in his eyes, they knew and loved him well. He supported the Brockville Arts Centre and Public Library as he was an avid reader, enjoyed music and the arts. The family wishes to extend thanks to Home Health and Palliative Care, Brockville General Hospital for their hard work and wonderful hearts that provided such loving care.
His wishes for cremation have been fulfilled at Irvine Funeral Home in Brockville and a date for Celebration of Life is to be announced at a later date. For those who wish can donate to BGH Palliative Care or Loaves and Fishes.
