Our condolences to the Harper family. Steve understood what was important in life. Memories of Steve out fishing on Charleston, "Poppa" w one or more grandsons in the boat, quality time, building precious memories. He will be missed by many, we are praying for your family.

Please accept my sympathy. I’m one of Stephen’s old Fish-hawk pals and I will really miss talking to him on FB and seeing pics of the latest mouthwatering meal he was preparing. I will share a memory I have going back several years. When Stephen learned I liked birds he told me he had birds (phoebes maybe?) once nest on his boat hoist. Rather than just consider his own wants and using the hoist, he purposely gave those nesting parent birds the time and space they needed to fledge their young. I thought that was pretty remarkable and very kind. RIP Stephen.
