Obituary for Sipke (Sid) DeSchiffart

Entered into rest peacefully at Barrhaven Manor, Nepean on Sunday, June 21, 2020, Sipke Jelle DeSchiffart, at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of Margje (Mary) DeSchiffart and dear father of Gary (Trish) DeSchiffart, Charley (Helen) DeSchiffart, Clarence (Eveline) DeSchiffart, Ron (Kim) DeSchiffart, Judy (Eppo) Eerkes, Brian (Sue) DeSchiffart and Tim (Joanna) DeSchiffart. Also survived by 24 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Hinke Weima and Wilma Vandenberg. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Sid was predeceased by his parents Clara and Gerrit DeSchiffart and by a sister Evelyn Dijkema.
Family and friends will be received at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 117 Windsor Drive, Brockville on Friday, June 26, 2020 from 11am until 1 pm. Social distancing and Covid 19 protocols will be in place.
A private family ceremony celebrating Sid's life will be held followed by interment at Oakland Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Bethel Christian Reformed Church or the Heritage Christian School will be gratefully acknowledged.
