Sean used to pull what Mike and I came too call....A Mackey.
We'd be out partying and Sean would just dissapear. He wouldn't say goodbye or tell anyone where he was going. He'd just go and we'd be looking for him.
It always turned out he'd just gone home and went to bed. He knew if he said goodbye we would convince him to stay
"Just a little longer" and he didn't want that he'd had enough and he was just done with our foolishness. Once he even left us at a certain club in Brockville. It was funny because he was our ride !!
Loss
Hung up the phone
Fell to my knees
Looked up at the sky and screamed
No! NOOO! PLEASE
For yet again
I'd lost my friend
This great pain
Will never end
A grief so bad
It swallows me whole
Broken is my heart
Shattered my soul
From this loss
I will never mend
I will miss you forever
My best friend.....
Love you Mackey
This time the disappearing act isn't funny.
I'm so proud to have been your brother by choice.

Sincere condolences to Sean's family, we are so sorry for your loss.
Sean was the most friendly, sweet and wonderful person. Every day I would hope to see him walk through the door, he always had a smile and a joke for all of his friends. Everyone was always asking on him, "Where's Sean today? He must be up at the farm!" Sean talked constantly about his family, staying with his parents up at the farm, seeing his nieces and nephews, and he was especially proud of his brother Paul who "looks just like me but more handsome!"
Sean made a huge impact on so many people in the town of Gananoque, and we are so proud and lucky to call him a friend. Our friend group will never be the same without Sean and we will miss him deeply.

To the entire Mackey family, my heartfelt thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Sean came to work for me at the Lodge at Kananaskis in the mid 90’s and it was there that so many of us got to know him. What a wonderful and kind and loving human being. We became friends and I was always touched by his sense of generosity and kindness, his wonder, his wit, and most importantly his friendship. I have felt his presence for years and now I feel his loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. Peter Gillis
