Our dear Uncle Bud will be terribly missed. My dad would have said that Russ was more than a brother-in-law, Russ was his best friend. He is the last of my mother's sibs to leave us and he was our last tie to her. Russ was a huge help to his older sister after my dad died, even though she continued to nag him about his eating habits and anything else she could think of. His great-nephews Stephen and Michael adored him and spent so much time with him when they when they were little boys visiting Grandma & Grandpa in Brockville. I was one of his adoring nieces and I send much love and sympathy to cousins Russ and Frances and family.

I just loved Russ. He was an amazing man, loaded with fun.
He always teased me and my daughter, delivering ice to the garage.
He knew my Dad well, as they both ran family businesses. He would walk with my Dad in later years,on Waverly Dr., with his dog.. Then come and tell me about their crazy antics, years past. Between the two of them, you never knew what they were up to, at any given time.
I would be at the Brockville Legion, and we would have to have a few dances, then I would hear about more antics. (Usially a reputation, but always a laugh)
Then, at Mallorytown Legion at the Big Breakfast each month, with his son and old time friend.
I lovingly called him my old fart. We both enjoyed the stories, the laughter, the flirting, that was pure joy, each time meeting.
Going to miss my crazy old fart, as much as your family will. Hugs to each of you.

I fondly remember hanging out at his BA gas station back in the sixties and also Russ (Jr) and Frances on First Avenue where we all lived. I also bought my first car (‘69 Camaro) from Russ. Great memories. My sincere condolences to you all. Another generation gone.
