Passed away peacefully at St. Lawrence Lodge, Brockville on Friday, August 16, 2019, at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of the late Ethel (Young) Sands and cherished father of Connie Joynt (Patrick), Terry Sands, Heather Clouthier (Gerry) and Barry Sands (Denise). Loving grandfather of Amanda, Jordan, Jeremy, Christopher, Cory, Logan and Dylan. Also survived by six great grandchildren; by his sister Doreen MacMillan and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Merla and by two brothers Merdy and Gary.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A ceremony celebrating Ron's life will be held in the chapel on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 11 am followed by a reception. Interment will take place at Capital Memorial Gardens, Ottawa.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or Parkinson Canada will be gratefully acknowledged.
