Dad had bunk beds for Chris and myself. Dad also had bar stools that served as time out chairs for when we were in trouble. I always had the top bunk. Well one day I was playing on my bed and fell off the top bunk to the floor. Dad assumed Chris pushed me off and said "Kids to the bar stools". We protested with him saying we didn't do anything and that I had simply fallen off. He pauses and says, "Well then get to the chairs anyways, you probably did something and deserve punishment". He was hands down the funniest at punishment and we could never argue with his logic.

Uncle Ron was a pretty cool uncle. When I was young, about 6 or 7, I remember he was my "hippie" uncle, with long hair and a really nice leather satchel thrown over one shoulder that I used to giggle at and call a "purse". Later, when I was a young adult, he took the time to show me around Keswick and Newmarket when I was visiting there. He managed to bridge the generational gap and put me at ease. Rest In Peace, Uncle Ron.
