Obituary for Ronald George Desrosiers

~~~~
Surrounded with love from his family, Ron entered into rest peacefully at the Kingston Health Science Centre on Friday, December 9th, 2022 at the age of 67 years. Beloved husband of the late Erica Desrosiers and dear father of Lisa Lockett (Shawn), Jason Stevenson, Michael VanderMeer (Sarah) and Andrew VanderMeer, Michael Desrosiers (Amanda), Michelle Desrosiers (Stephen). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Jordon, Bridget, Brenden, Zachary, Lily, Peanut, Allie, Jessica, and Daniel. Dear brother of Penny Cove (Steve). Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and by his fur-baby Meca. Predeceased by his parents Shirley and George Desrosiers and by his brother Raymond.
Ron had a passion for cooking and started his career as a chef at a young age. When not cooking, Ron enjoyed his time throwing strikes at the bowling alley, and at the baseball diamond enjoying many years of league play. As an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays, Ron often needed cheering up and did so by going on many fun adventures with Erica and the grandchildren.
To all the doctors, nurses, and all the members of the ICU team at the Kingston Health and Science Center…. Thank you for your kindness and compassion.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15 Maitland, on Thursday, December 15th, from 10:00 am until 12 noon when a celebration of Ron's life will be held in the chapel with a reception to follow.
