Obituary for Charles Roger Hardy

Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Monday, November 9, 2020. Charles Roger Hardy, at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband of Bonnie and loving step father of Bev Disney (Drew) and Brent Spencer (Patty Baird). Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Hannah, Jenna and Chase. Brother of Sandra Brennan, Sharon Hardy (Tim Richardson) and Michael Hardy (Marilyn). Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law of Ron Earl (Louise) and Bruce Pyke (Dawna). Roger was predeceased by his two brother-in-laws Brad Brown and Bruce Brennan; by a sister-in-law Judy Pyke and by his parents Joy and Charles Hardy.
Roger enjoyed a 36 year career as an elementary school teacher. An avid golfer, with a true passion for the game, he always enjoyed time spent on the golf course. During the off season, curling was another preferred pastime. Rog was most happy surrounded by family and friends. He had a great sense of humour and zest for life and will be missed by all who knew him.
A private celebration of Roger's life will be held at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15 , Maitland on Saturday, November 14, 2020 with interment to follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care Unit will be gratefully acknowledged.
