Obituary for Robert McGurrin (McGurrin)

Robert (Bob) McGurrin passed away peacefully at Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital on Thursday, August 27th at the age of 69. Robert was born on February 28, 1951 to Lawrence and Irene (nee Hargreaves) McGurrin in Brockville, Ontario.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Carly McGurrin (Tyler), son Tavis McGurrin (Kelsey), grandson Aiden McGurrin, and by his brothers John McGurrin (Eleanor), David McGurrin (Terry), and Bruce McGurrin (Lorrie).
Bob spent his early years in Lyn and attended Thousand Island Secondary School. He obtained a degree from the University of Waterloo in Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Education from Queen's University.
Bob worked for the Ministry of Natural Resources throughout Ontario.
Bob spent as much of his life outdoors as he could. He was passionate about training gun dogs and horses. He will be remembered hiking through fields, walking stick in hand, enjoying the company of these animals.
