Obituary for Richard Paul Seguin

Passed away suddenly at home on January 4, 2021. Rick is sadly missed by his loving wife Linda Smallegange; sisters Shirley Vallender (Bob) of Australia and Paula Lake; by his nieces Kristina Snelling (Chris), Lisa Douglas (Dave) and by nephews Patrick Lake and Robert Vallender (Cath). He will be fondly remembered by family members Matthew Smallegange (Annette), Louise Lamacraft (Kevin) and Mark Smallegange (Michelle). Cherished grandfather to their 8 grandchildren. Rick is also survived by daughters Michelle, Janine, Natasha, Meghan and Kate. He was predeceased by his father Paul, mother Nellie and brothers James and Gerry.
University educated in business, he travelled the world with an import export business. For close to 20 years he was an accomplished chef at Calamity Jane’s restaurant bringing his acquired knowledge from world chefs to the table. Continuing in the food world Rick assisted in bringing his knowledge to sales. He also had a natural talent for fine woodwork. He will be sadly missed by many.
A private service will be held at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville with interment at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.
