Obituary for Reta McDonald (Baker)
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Wellington House, Prescott, on July 2, 2019 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Edward McDonald and cherished mother of Susan (Derek) Stocker, Shelley McDonald (Keith DeDekker), Sheryl McDonald and Patti (Rick) Williams.
Loving Grandmother of Melissa (Darcy) Sauve, Matthew Hayes (Megan Moore), Meghan (Jason) McDermott, Macey Markell, Brett and Zachary Williams, and Step-Grandchildren Paul DeDekker, David (Ashley) DeDekker. Great-Grandmother of Mackenzie and Madison McDermott , Sofia Sauve and Rachel, Dillon and Reese DeDekker. Also survived by her sisters Marilyn Clysdale and Anna Miles (Neil); by her sister-in-law Rigtje Baker and by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Thelma Babcock and Stanley Baker; by her brother Carl Baker and by Jay Merkley (Sheryl's partner).
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at ROSELAWN, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 11:00 am-1:15 pm followed by a service in celebration of Reta’s life in the Chapel at 1:30 pm.
