Obituary for Raymond James Larocque

~~~~~~~~~~~~
With great sadness we announce the passing of Ray Larocque after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, December 16, 2022 at the Brockville General Hospital with his loving wife Hilda by his side. He was 78 years old. Loving father of Ron, James and Peter (Jennifer), several grandchildren and his brothers-in-law Rick Gibson (Kathy) and John Raisin (Sandra) as well as several treasured nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Eugene and Thelma (Prue) Larocque.
Ray loved long drives, hunting, sports, gardening and most of all Hilda’s baking. Ray worked in Toronto as a mechanical draftsperson for many years until he moved to Brockville, where he was employed by Proctor and Gamble. There he made many lifelong friends.
Ray was especially thankful for the loving care and time that Peter, Jennifer and granddaughter Jenevra spent with him. The family greatly appreciates the loving care and support of the staff at the Kingston Cancer Centre, Brockville General Hospital and Saint Elizabeth nurse Amber Fretts. A very special thanks to Dr. Lui, Dr Hay, Dr. Reid, Dr. Schellenberg and Dr. Ashe.
Following Ray's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James St., E., Brockville. In lieu of flowers donations to the Kingston Cancer Centre or the Brockville General Hospital - Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated. WHEN TOMORROW STARTS WITHOUT ME
When tomorrow starts without me
And I’m not here to see
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me
I wish you wouldn’t cry
The Way you did today
While thinking of the many things
We did not get to say
I know how much you love me
As much as I love you
Each time that you think of me
I know you will miss me too
When tomorrow starts with out me
Please try to understand
That an angel came and called my name
And took me by the hand
The angel said my place was ready
In heaven far above
And That I would have to leave behind
All those I Dearly Love
But When I walked through Heaven’s Gates
I felt so much at home
When GOD looked down and smiled at me
From his golden throne
He said This Is Eternity
And All I promised you
Today for life on earth is done
But Here it starts a new
I promise no tomorrow
For today will always last
And Since each day’s the exact same way
There is no longing for the past
So When Tomorrow starts without me
Do not think we’re apart
For every time you think of me
Remember I’m right here in your heart
