Patrick Eugene O’Grady passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 10, 2024, in his 50th year. Patrick was born in Quebec on September 12, 1973. Patrick was a loving, generous and enamoured husband to Erin (Edmunds). He was a doting, involved and proud father to Addison and Emmett O’Grady. Patrick was a dedicated, loving and generous son to Gene and Ellen O’Grady. He was a loving, supportive and present brother and brother-in-law to Sherry (Nelson), Doreen (Jeff), Tammy (Frank), Paul (Nancy), Drew (Lisa-Marie) and Kyle (Chantal). Patrick was a fun and loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He was a steadfast, loyal friend and a devoted teacher and coach to many over the years. Predeceased is Patrick’s mother and father-in-law Jack and Lois Edmunds.

Patrick grew up in Shannon, Quebec and then attended university in Montreal at Concordia University.

Patrick got hired at Brock Telecom in 1997, and worked there for several years until he pursued his calling by becoming a teacher. Patrick attended teacher’s college in Potsdam New York and touched the lives of many students at St. Francis, St. John Bosco and J.L. Jordan Catholic Schools in Brockville.

A wake will be held on Friday, April 19th, 2024, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland. A mass in celebration of Patrick's life will take place at St. John Bosco Church, 175 Windsor Dr., Brockville at 11am on Saturday, April 20th, 2024 with a reception to follow at the church.

Patrick's legacy of kindness, compassion, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
