Obituary for Patricia (Pat) Jones

At the age of 70, Patricia (Pat) Jones passed away peacefully on June 27th, 2023 at the Brockville General Hospital surrounded by her loved ones, after a brave and extensive battle with cancer.
Those who knew Pat knew her to be a cherished friend, a passionate gardener and a ferocious tennis and pickleball player. Pat volunteered at the Prescott Tennis Club managing memberships, delivered Meals on Wheels to local seniors, often including her own special baked treats to brighten people’s day, and volunteered at her grandchildren’s school for several years.
Pat was one of four children born to James Frederick Gummer and Mary Elizabeth Gummer, wife to Cliff Jones, mother to Marcia and Tracie, grandmother to Adelina and Mya, sister to Richard Gummer, Chris Bush and the late Bev Heyman, aunt to Michaela, Susan, Jim, Lisa and Leslie. She will be deeply missed by many friends, both old and new.
The family would like to thank the compassionate team of doctors and nurses in palliative care for their exceptional care of Pat in her final days.
The family has chosen not to hold services, but donations to the palliative care wing at BGH are appreciated.
