Obituary for Myrtle Lafond

Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Thursday April 27, 2023 at the age of 91. Wife of the late Israel Lafond and predeceased by her brother William Hopps (Margaret).
She leaves to mourn her sisters Hope Schofield (the late Stanley Schofield) and Mary Ward (the late Kemp Ward). She will be greatly missed by her stepdaughter, Christine Lafond Smith (Delbert Smith) as well as her step grandchildren and step great-grand children. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and many relatives that had the fortune of knowing her love, and most cherished sense of humour.
A private graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.
In remembrance of Myrtle the family asks that donations be made to the Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care Team, or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the many friends and staff at the Chartwell Wedgewood Retirement Residence that became a true part of Myrtle’s family.
Special thanks to Megan Marshall and Samantha Henderson for their exceptional devotion and support.
Lastly Myrtle wanted to thank Dr. Fuoco, Dr. Bhatt, Dr. Ashe and the Palliative Care Team at the Brockville Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.
