Mary DeSchiffart (née Oostlander)
February 24, 1932 - June 7, 2021
Surrounded by family, Mary passed away peacefully into rest at the home of Ron and Kim DeSchiffart, Kemptville, Ontario, on Monday, June 7, 2021, at the age of 89 years. Beloved wife of the late Sidney DeSchiffart and loving mother of Gary (Trish), Charley (Helen), Clarence (Eveline), Ron (Kim), Judy (Eppo) Eerkes, Brian (Sue) and Tim (Joanna). She was dearly loved and will be missed by 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters, Wilma (John) Huibers and Alyce LaRocque, as well as by nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Cornelius and Geertje Oostlander, her brother, Peter Oostlander, two brothers-in-law, John VanderBoom and Lomar LaRocque, and one infant great-grandson, Ryan.
Family and friends will be received at Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Thursday, June10, 2021, between 7 pm and 9 pm.
