Obituary for Marjorie McGrory

~~~~~
The family of Marjorie Anne McGrory (Rice) is sad to announce her passing on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Sherwood Park Manor. Born on Sept 11, 1936 in Ormond, ON., she is the daughter of the late Esbon and Agnes Rice. She was pre-deceased by husbands Kenneth Dillabough and William McGrory. She will be sadly missed by her children Carol Dillabough, Arnie (Rina) Dillabough, Sandra (Wayne) Tackaberry and W. Lynn Dillabough, her grandsons Joshua (Lianna) Dillabough, Nathan Dillabough, Elijah Dillabough and great grandson Malcolm Dillabough. Fondly remembered by her sisters Betty Dillabough, Maggie Curran and Linda Skuce, and by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Marjorie was always active in her community. As a long-time resident of Algonquin, ON. she was involved with the Algonquin United Church, and later on with the Brockville Senior’s Club. Marjorie was retired from B&ACLA where she formed many life-long bonds with the people she supported. Her circle of friends was very important to her and she maintained many close friendships throughout her life. She was an accomplished sewer, an avid card player, an enthusiastic fan of long car trips, and a lover of cottage-life on Graham Lake.
Her family would like to thank the staff of Sherwood Park Manor for their kind and caring attention during the last years of her life.
Family and friends are invited to the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James St., E., Brockville on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 10-11 am followed by a service in the chapel. Donations to the Sherwood Park Manor and Heart & Stroke will be gratefully appreciated by the family. Leave a condolence or share a memory of Marjorie by clicking on the Memory Button above.
