Obituary for Marjorie Brown

Marjorie Doris (Giffin) Brown
March 13, 1935 – April 10, 2023
Passed away peacefully at the age of 88 at the Brockville General Hospital. Marjorie was born in Jellyby. Predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Leita Giffin, husband Gordon, son Jamie, granddaughter Shae, brothers Archie Giffin and Alvin Giffin, sister in law Margaret Weir, brother in law Purvis Weir and brother in law Doug Brown. Beloved mother of Cecil, David (Valerie), Donna (Darcy), Allan (Tracey), Heather (Tom), Gloria (Blake) and Tim (Danielle). Dear grandmother to twenty-one grandchildren and great grandmother to three great grandchildren.
Marjorie moved to Brockville at the age of 18 to work for Bell Canada. Marjorie was a member of the Salvation Army for many years and enjoyed her weekly Wednesday evening Home League meetings with the ladies of the church.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James St. E., BROCKVILLE on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 7:00pm – 9:00pm.
A service in celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held in the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, MAITLAND on Tuesday April 18th, 2023 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care, Brockville General Hospital or the Brockville Salvation Army will be gratefully acknowledged.
