Obituary for Marion Purdy

Marion passed away peacefully at the Sherwood Park Manor on Monday, May 8th, 2023 at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife of Winston Purdy and cherished mother of Cheryl (Greg) Barkley, Bill (Briggit) Purdy and Richard (Shannon) Purdy. She is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear sister of Leona Hudson (Dave - deceased), Paul (Rose) Bertrand, Alice (Marcel) Lapointe, Gordon Bertrand and Gerry (Hilda) Bertrand. Predeceased by her brother Pete Bertrand and by her sister June (Barry) Wilson.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sherwood Park Manor for the excellent care and hospitality which truly went above and beyond during this difficult time. We appreciate you beyond words.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James St., E., Brockville on Friday, May 12th, 2023 from 11am - 1 pm when a service in celebration of Marion's life will be held in the chapel. Interment will follow at Bishops Mills Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Sherwood Park Manor or the Alzheimer Society of Lanark Leeds Grenville will be gratefully acknowledged.
