Obituary for Lysbeth Khan (Poelstra)

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Lysbeth Neeltje Khan (nee Poelstra). Lysbeth was born on September 17, 1944 Winsum, Friesland, The Netherlands and passed away peacefully at the Trillium Hospital, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, on Friday, September 2nd, 2022 at the age of 77 years.
Beloved wife of Afzal (Paul) Khan and cherished mother of Anders Khan (Sandra Fawcett). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Emily and Jude; by her brother Jan; sisters Ann, Shirley and Nell and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Jochem and Hipkjen Poelstra and by her siblings Fred, Betty, Jayne and Peiter.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Thursday, September 8th, 2022 from 11 am - 1 pm. A service in honour and celebration of Lysbeth's life will be held in the chapel at 1 pm followed by interment in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
A celebration of life will be held at the Salvation Army Temple in Mississauga on October 12th, 2022. Further details will follow, please contact the family for details.
