Obituary for Lynn Carol Foster (Hall)

With great love and much sadness, the family announces the passing of Lynn Carol Foster. She passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, February 28, 2019, in her 76th year.

Lynn was the beloved wife of the late Frank Foster. Loving mother of Jill Babcock (Andy), Kelli Casselman (Kevin) and Ken Jackson (Lisa), cherished stepmother to Donna Ferguson (Robert), Geoff Foster (Julie) and Lori Foster. She was loved by her many grandchildren. Dear sister, and best friend to Lillian Drinkwalter. Predeceased by her parents, Hilda and Harry Hall, siblings Harry, Bill, Nancy (Haybecker) and Kim Hall, and stepchildren Doug and Terry Foster. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Lynn was known for her huge heart, infectious laugh and the enviable ability to find the fun and joy in each moment, even when her life wasn’t so easy.

Her home was open to all with gatherings of family and friends around a dining room table laden with home cooking and her famous pies. Add games and cards and you found her perfect evening.

She loved bingo and the casino, but not as much as road trips and travel. Lynn spent the last several years building an even stronger bond with her sister Lillian, hitting the roads and high seas on unforgettable adventures, the last being her big move to London where they could be together taking the seniors card parties by storm.

Cozy in her chair with the remote and some knitting close at hand, she would tell us all to live life to the fullest- put on a crazy wig and sing karaoke. Follow the adventure and love until your last breath, just as she did.

Visitation will be held at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 6-8 pm. A service in celebration of Lynn's life will be held in the Roselawn Chapel on Thursday at 11 am followed by a reception. Donations to the Heart and Stroke or Kidney Foundations would be appreciated.
