Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Friday, October 21st, 2022 at the age of 79 years. Robert was a longtime retired employee of Microtel and a well known cartage operator in the city of Brockville. Beloved husband of Carolyn Crossman Ellis and dear father of Cheryl Ellis (Dan Bell), Sandra Ellis (Pat DePaous dec'd), Jacqueline Ellis (Shawn Woods, Steve Ellis (Emer) and Lorraine Foley (Michael). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Samantha, Lorenzo, Brandon, Joshua, Dawson, Olivia, Jesse, Elizabeth, Robert, Seth and by four great grandchildren Anthony, Landon, Scarlett and Addison. Brother of Keith Ellis. Robert was predeceased by his two grandchildren Teddy and Jacob as well a number of siblings.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel 4 James St East Brockville, on Monday, October 24th, 2022 from 2:- 4 pm. A private family service will be held in the Chapel.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care or the SPCA will be gratefully acknowledged.
