Obituary for Kenneth Bigalow

Kenneth Joseph Bigalow was a caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. Ken was in his 84th year and left this world on August 11, 2022 to be with Jesus.

Ken was born to Harry and Georgina Bigalow (nee Roddick) in Merrickville on August 19, 1938, He is survived by his wife, Denise (nee Sauve) who he married on July 19, 1958. Together, Ken & Denise raised five children and enjoyed their married life together for over 64 years.

Ken’s career included Puritan Bennett’s Maitland facility where he was initially hired as a Truck Driver. His skills allowed him to progress through numerous positions at that facility which lead to him accepting a Plant Manager position in Puritan Bennett’s Pensacola, Florida facility. After retiring, he returned home to Brockville to share his life with family and friends. He also enjoyed his woodworking hobby and used his skills to create many pieces of art for his loved ones.

Ken is survived by his sister, Cathy Bigalow, Children, Cindy Moore (Rick), Dan Bigalow (Valerie), Penny Boileau (Vincent), Mark Bigalow (Cindi) and Michelle Bigalow (Peter).

He is also survived by his grandchildren Shannon Wade, Rachel Wade, Alex Bigalow, Erin Wade, Scott Boileau, Brooke Bigalow, Kira Bigalow and his great-great grandchildren Madison Parkinson, Brayden Parkinson and Ayla Boileau.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Monday, August 22, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis Xavier Church, 66 Church St., Brockville on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 10 am followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville Loaves and Fishes or the Brockville Food Bank.
