Obituary for John (Jack) Weldon

John died peacefully in his sleep at St. Lawrence Lodge Nursing Home in Brockville on Thursday, October 6, 2022 in his 94th year, with his family by his side. John was the beloved husband of 68 years to Mae Weldon, who predeceased him in 2021. Cherished father of Mark (Kelly) Weldon of Brockville. Bumpa of his only grandchild, Parker Weldon. Predeceased by his parents, Russell and Winifred Weldon and his sister, Barbara Coote. Survived by his brother-in-law Torrence McDonnell of Toledo as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Born in Toronto, living in Northern Ontario, Smith Falls and then Toledo, John lived a good and full life with plenty of memories revolving around family, friends and the community of Toledo.
The family would to like to acknowledge and thank Bridlewood Manor, Brockville General Hospital , St Lawrence Lodge, Dr. Ashe and Dr. Mansworth for their dedication and compassionate care.
A graveside service will take place at St Andrews United Church Cemetery, 284 County Road 8, Toledo, on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Andrew's United Church Cemetery Fund, Toledo would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
