Obituary for John Vandermey
Passed peacefully on February 17, 2019, at the age of 72 years, in the Palliative Care Unit of the Brockville General Hospital. Beloved husband of Rena (nee Sytsma) and dear father of Tim (Carrie), Dawn Edgley (Steven), and Mark (Alishia). Will be missed by his grandchildren Damien, Cole, Emmalee and Kale VanderMey; Ava and Christian Edgley; and Andrew, Sebastian, and Lilly VanderMey. Remembered by his brother, Sape (Lucy) of the Netherlands, and by his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Jan-Eltje, Frederick and Helena.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, February 22 at 10:30 am at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 117 Windsor Drive, Brockville, Ontario K6V 3H7. Arrangements are entrusted to Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care Unit will be appreciated.
