Passed away at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Friday, March 17th, 2023 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of Shirley Boland (White) and the late Frances Ellen Elizabeth Goodwin. Cherished father of Craig Goodwin (Nina), Scott Goodwin (Jeanith) and Mark Goodwin. Dear grandfather of Eric, Brent, Justine, Ben, Ryan, Kaitlyn and Braedon. Also survived by his step daughters Sandra, Rhonda and Michelle; by several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loving brother of Alice Parkinson (Dave). Predeceased by his brother Robert Douglas Goodwin (Colleen) and by his sister Nancy Hutchinson (Ron).
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A service in celebration of John's life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, March 25th, 2023 at 11 am followed by interment at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.
