Obituary for Jack Butt

Jack (John) MacLeod Butt passed away at home, peacefully surrounded by family, on June 9, 2022. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Heather Butt, sons, Ian (Yvonne), and Craig (Rhea), and his grandchildren, Sarah, Andrew, Cameron and Aiden. He is also survived by his sister, Irene MacLean, and nieces (Jennifer and Alison) and nephew (Bruce).
Jack was a member of the Salem Masonic Lodge and Tunis Shriners, serving in multiple leadership roles. He was an avid golfer and curler at the Brockville Country Club. Most recently, inspired by his grandchildren, his passions focused on organizing anti-bullying and mental health campaigns through the Shrine Club.

Visitation will be held at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Tuesday, June 21st from 11 am to 1 pm with the funeral to follow at 1 pm in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation, prostate cancer research.
