It was with sadness that I heard about Jean's illness and her passing. I first met Jean in 1980 when she attempted to make a potter out of me at a SLC course. She introduced me to her family and we have stayed friends since. She will be missed by many people - for her welcoming nature, her warm smile, her quick wit and her sense of adventure (like no other). Our condolences to the whole family.
