Obituary for Jarrod Alex Wenborn (Wenborn)
SERVICE UPDATE:
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 1-3 pm at the Kinsman Amplitheater at the Prescott waterfront.
On Sunday, May 17, 2020, Jarrod Alex Wenborn (35), beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, son-in-law, brother-in-law, dear friend, and colleague, passed away unexpectedly at Kingston General Hospital from sudden cardiac arrest complications. Jarrod’s ability to procreate love, compassion, and knowledge was larger than life itself. His passion for music, science, nature, and fishing enriched his brief but full life and the lives of those lucky enough to have shared these passions with him.
Jarrod was a grand optimist. He was loving, kind, patient, thoughtful, brilliant, and handsome, but most importantly, he was happy and proud of his family, friends, home, and career as a registered practical nurse at Brockville General Hospital.
Jarrod will forever live in the hearts of his loving wife, Kim (Bertrend) Wenborn; two beautiful young children Jolene and Gavin; mother Michele (Brian) Canning; sister Julie (Bob) Mexter; extended family members, parents-in-law Dale and Donna Bertrend; brothers-in-law Mike (Morgan) and Drew (Deanna) Bertrend; nieces and nephews, Brandon and Jordan Mexter and Aurora, Liam, and Phoebe Bertrend; friends, colleagues, and recipients of his three organ donations. Jarrod was predeceased by his father Robert Wenborn; grandparents Patricia and Graham Simon; and Great Aunt Joyce.
A celebration of life and tree planting ceremony will be held at Jarrod’s homestead when travel restrictions have been lifted.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.
