Obituary for Bud Astles

James Ralph “Bud” Astles passed peacefully on January 10, 2023, at age 92 in Brockville, Ontario, after a brief illness. Bud was raised in New Carlisle, Quebec. He served in the Royal Canadian Army from 1951 – 1953. A long-time resident of Montreal, he lived in Guelph, Ontario, from 1983 – 1991 before retiring to Brockville.
Bud is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Betty (nee Elizabeth Anne McDaid), son David and daughter Diane, as well as by sister Ella (Paul) and brothers Ray and Don. He has four adult grandchildren – Nicole, Stephanie, Paul and Emma.
Bud did not want a fuss about his passing but he will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
