Obituary for Ian Campbell-Paterson

Passed away peacefully on Sunday May 15, 2022 at Rosebridge Manor, Jasper
Ontario after a brief battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents Malcolm
(Mac) and Lois Paterson and survived by his loving Daughter, Brooke (James

(Tom,Deceased) Cummings and Diane (Paul O’Connor,Deceased) Rennie. Loving
uncle to Marielle Webster, Holden Rennie, Campbell Webster, and Alistair Rennie.
He will be missed by many extended family members and friends.

Ian was born in Smiths Falls and later moved to Brockville where he attended
Commonwealth Public School and BCI. He travelled and attended university in
Montreal and Vancouver before landing in Lindsay. He and his family moved to
Fort Frances for work in 1996 where he remained until returning to Brockville in
2012.
Ian had a special passion for music and his love for drumming. He enjoyed any
outdoor activity that he could take part in. He held a special place in his heart for
his cottage time. He loved to share this time with his daughter Brooke. He taught
her to fish, paddle, swim, appreciate games and puzzles and shared his love of
family.
In 2016, Ian experienced a traumatic brain injury which eventually led him to
Rosebridge Manor. Ian appreciated the care he was given, and the family would
like to extend our gratitude and thanks to the caring and loving staff.
There will be a private Celebration of Ian’s Life at a later date. If you wish to
commemorate Ian donations can be made to: Ontario Brain Injury Association or
Head Injury Rehabilitation Ontario.
Send a message of condolence or share a special thought of Ian on the Memory Wall above.
