Obituary for Gord Tousant

With great sadness the family of Gordon Carl Tousant announces his peaceful passing on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Brockville General Hospital. Big Gord at the age of 82; faced many life challenges with great courage and will always be remembered as “our hero”.
Lovingly remembered by his wife Eleanor; the love of his life for 59 years, by his sons Tom and Jamie (Angela) and his daughter Cindy (JR). Gord was predeceased by a son, Ricky. Proud Poppy to Kyle and Issac. Grampa’s girls Kelsey, Neocia and Meraira and Great grandfather to Deklin and Sibastion. Fondly remembered by his siblings Joan (Bill), Doug (Rhea), Yvonne (Stuart), Betty (Don), Marie and Gary. Gord will be missed by many nieces and nephews, the many families and friends he helped along the way.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respect at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland, ON on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. A celebration of Gord’s life will be held on Monday, February 27th at 1 p.m. Following the interment, a reception will be held in the Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made in Gord’s memory to Brockville General Hospital - Brockville Palliative Care.
