George Kenneth Scanlon
With heavy hearts and great sadness, George Kenneth Scanlon passed away peacefully at Brockville General Hospital on Thursday, March 17th, 2022 at the age of 93 years. Predeceased by his wife Shirley Ann Scanlon (Woods) on August 12th, 2011. Cherished father of Linda Mitchell (Rob) of Oshawa, Heather Bowden (Peter) of Newmarket and Rick Scanlon of Brockville. Dear grandfather to Ryan Mitchell (Brianna), Matthew Mitchell (Kaitlynn), Jennifer Bowden (Greg) and Kristine Burke (Adam). Great grandfather to Brock, Charlotte, Mason, Brooklyn, Sofia, Breven, Liam and Madison. Fondly remembered by his sister Joyce Kobsey (John).
Dedicated business man with a long established career as Managing Director CFS Canadian Foundry Supply and Dural Paint out of Quebec. Ken had a passion for wood carving, was an avid reader, had a love of the outdoors and cottage life as well as an exceptional knowledge and thirst for history.
A celebration of life to be planned at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Lanark Leeds and Grenville or Wall Street United Church will be gratefully acknowledged.
