Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Saturday, April 8th, 2023 at the age of 70 years. Beloved husband of Jean (Massey) Alguire and cherished father of Lisa Shettles (Jason) and Geoffrey Alguire Jr. Dear Papa of Keegan, Payton and Kyle (Bianca) Shettles, and Mya and Lincoln Alguire and great Papa to Nolan. Also survived by his sister Linda Brown (George Dunnington) and stepbrother to Rob DeVries (Patsy). Sadly missed by his longtime friend Allen Primeau and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Betty and Earl Alguire and by his brothers Ronnie and Marty and by his stepfather Gerry DeVries.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James St., E, Brockville on Wednesday, April 12th, 2023 from 12 noon until 2 pm. A service in celebration of Geoffrey's life will be held in the chapel at 2 pm followed by a reception. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
