Douglas John Duncan Sawdon, passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Tuesday, March 21st, 2023 at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of Tietje (Tina) Sawdon and loving father to Melissa (Kevin) Kot, Dave (Jennifer) Sawdon and Chancie (Rob) Serson. Cherished Opa to Lucas, Nicholas and Olivia Kot and Grayson, Kyleigh Serson and Duncan Sawdon. Fondly remembered by his first wife Nancy Neil; sister-in-law Kathy Vanderwyk, niece Kathie Hesler and nephews Stephen (Jacqui) Hesler and Ian (Judy) Hesler and several great nieces and nephews. Sorely missed by his dog Charlie.
Predeceased by his parents Morley and Madaline Sawdon, sister Sheila Hesler and brothers- in-law Gary Hesler and Henry Vanderwyk.
A service in celebration of Doug's life will be held on Saturday, April 1st, 2023 at Mallorytown Legion, Branch 484, 13 Quabbin Road, Mallorytown, ON.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
