Passed away suddenly on his farm, R.R. 2 Cardinal, on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the age of 85. Dear father of Jeffrey Davy (Carol) of Cranbrook BC, Brent Davy (Brenda) of Prescott, and Karen Goodenough (Jack) of Prescott. Loved grandfather of Kyle, Ryan and Lisa and of great-grandson Dakota. Also survived by his dear and close friend Diane Royer, by his brothers Allan, Donald, Lionel and Leonard all of Cardinal, and by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents John and Doris Davy, and by brothers Ken and Larry. Doug enjoyed his hunting days with Floyd, Gary and the rest of the Foxy Gang. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre at Roselawn (2451 Maitland Road, Maitland) on Wednesday, April 20th from 12 noon until the time of the service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. All are most welcome to a reception following in the Irvine Memorial Reception Centre at Roselawn. In remembrance, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or charity of choice will be gratefully acknowledged.
