Obituary for Dorothy Eileen Brannen (Wilson)

Died peacefully in Brockville on March 24, 2019 in her 95th year. Wife of the late Dr. Ronald Brannen. She will be sorely missed by her children: Ronald (Don Maracle), Elizabeth (Donald Raizenne), Alison (Craig Fraser) and Peter. Cherished grandmother of Michelle Raizenne, Matthew Raizenne (Jaime Cini), Timothy Raizenne (Andrea Strentse) and Amanda Fraser (Lina Bibars). Great grandmother of Miles, William, Luke and Abigail. Only daughter of Fred and Amanda Wilson of Barrington Passage, Nova Scotia. Dear sister of the late Walter “Buzz” Wilson. She will be missed by sister-in-law Ruth Wilson, cousin Phyllis Amiro, and by her many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy or “Dot” as she was known to her many friends was loved and cherished. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church community and a life member of the Hospital Auxiliaries Association of Ontario through her 30 years of work at the Brockville General Hospital. She was a kind and generous lady whose joy for life was fulfilled through her family and her many accomplished activities - travelling, music, golf, bridge, dancing, cooking and entertaining.

Just as you were, you will always be, never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James St. E., Brockville on Thursday, March 28th from 6 - 8 pm and on Friday, March 29th from 10 - 11 am. A celebration of Dot's life will be held in the chapel on Friday, March 29th at 11 am followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation will be gratefully appreciated. Send condolences or make a donation online at www.irvinememorial.com.
