Obituary for Dennis James Gallagher (Gallagher)

Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on October 7th, 2020. Beloved husband of Mary Lou Gallagher (Merritt) for 61 years. Loving father of Kevin (Moyra), Mary Ellen and Kent (predeceased). Beloved grandfather of Melissa (Mark), Conor (Samantha) and Kate (Alan) and great-grandfather to Brody, Luke, Paisley and Esme. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Dennis was the son of the late John and Mary Gallagher and dear brother of predeceased sisters Margaret and Kathleen (Edward) and predeceased brothers John (Yvette), Thomas (Theresa) and Michael.
Dennis was a loyal employee of RCA for over 30 years where he worked as a Traffic Manager. In his spare time, he was a tireless volunteer in both hockey and softball in Prescott. His charm, contagious laugh and sense of humor will be missed by all.
A Funeral Liturgy will take place at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 2 pm, followed by interment in the Tower Columbarium and a gathering in the reception centre.
Covid protocols will be in place with pre-registration of attendance required. RSVP below or call 613-342-2828 to register.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the South Grenville Minor Hockey Association would be appreciated by the family.
