Obituary for Colmer Watson

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Colmer Eric Watson, in his 88th year, passed away peacefully with his wife Teresa by his side, at Woodland Villa, Long Sault. Loving and cherished husband of Teresa (Scott) Watson for 67 years (formerly of Prescott). Colmer's beloved son Dale, predeceased him 4 years ago at the age of 62 years. Dale's wife Wendy Clark of Long Sault survives along with his only, and dear grandson Michael (Christina) of Victoria, BC. A kind, caring and congenial loved son of the late Walter and Verna (Ault) Watson of Chersterville. Predeceased by 3 brothers Basil (Marjorie), Winston (Sue) and Earl (Freida survives). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Colmer was a special brother-in-law to Milly (Duane Beckstead) of Lunenburg; the late Floyd Scott (Catherine survives) and the late Robert Scott.
Colmer's passion in life first was family, then music. Playing guitar, fiddle, calling square dances and singing in a band. In retirement, he enjoyed many jam sessions with his band and music friends, especially Bernie Coville of Johnstown. Attending many music festivals, camping and motorcycling were other favourite pastimes of Colmer's.
He was employed in security as management at Black and Decker, Brockville and also as a foreman at RCA Victor in Prescott.
Special thanks to Dr. Steacie and Dr. Earle of Brockville; Dr. Crooks of Ingleside and our deepest appreciation to the staff at Woodland Villa for their constant, compassionate care of Colmer.
Private arrangements entrusted to the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland where services and interment will take place. Donations in Colmer's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the OSPCA of Leeds Grenville.
Send condolences or share a special thought of Colmer on the Memory Wall above. Thank you.
